![]() I have been working on this all night and still can't figure it out. ![]() I also ran a virus scan and had no problems. ![]() I tried a system restore but it said "no changes were made to your computer". When I check sounds and audio devices in the control panel it still says no audio device. I found some information on the internet and I ran the system file checker and still had the problem, then I updated the Windows installer and was able to reinstall the Soundmax drivers and in the device manager it shows that Soundmax and the listed codecs and audio drivers were working properly but I still have no sound. I tried the same thing and got an error installing ikernel.exe:(0x10000), and also an error saying RPC server not available. I had this problem before and I solved it by reinstalling all the Soundmax IDA drivers off my Dell disc and it fixed everything. I received an error saying I had no audio device. The only thing I did between the time I had sound and when it quit was defragment. First Windows media player gave me an error, I don't remember what it was because I rarely use it, I use Winamp as my default and I had sound on Winamp so I didn't really care.
